HomeNOC (AS59105) is a Japan-based non-profit community providing young engineers with a production-grade environment for BGP operations and AS management. This talk presents our new PoP in Taipei, Taiwan — covering infrastructure design, Japan–Taiwan backbone interconnection via EtherIP tunnels, and BGP connectivity — and discusses how it bridges the Japanese and Taiwanese networking communities.

Home NOC Operators Group
Tomoki Yoshikawa is a board member and network operator at Home NOC Operators’ Group / HomeNOC (AS59105), a Japan-based non-profit research network community. HomeNOC provides young engineers and students with hands-on opportunities to learn real-world Internet operations through the design, deployment, and operation of its own autonomous system. His technical interests include Internet routing, BGP, peering, PoP deployment, data center operations, backbone operations, and network automation. At TWNOG 7.0, he will talk about HomeNOC’s new PoP in Taiwan, its STUIX connection, and how HomeNOC is building stronger relationships with the Taiwanese and Asian network operator communities. He is also a master’s student at Kyoto University and a member of Kyoto University Micro Computer Club, where he operates AS59128.
