Abstract / Overview
The World Baseball Classic 2026 (WBC 2026) was held in March 2026. A key characteristic of this event in Japan was that Netflix held the exclusive streaming rights, with no traditional TV broadcast available. Consequently, ISPs and IXes in Japan worked to reinforce their network infrastructure to handle the traffic. This presentation introduces the traffic status and observations at JPIX during the event.
